I have listened to podcasts before and can see that podcasts can become very popular in the education setting. There is a teacher at our high school that has made up their own Eagle Radio and podcasts are available for others to listen to. One of the podcasts that I listen to is Dave Ramsey’s show. I find that I mostly listen to the podcast on my computer. I have a coworker that subscribes to different podcasts and downloads them to his ipod.
This is a link to the Eagle Radio show…

I had fun looking for more widgets to use on my blog. I had a really hard time trying to add an RSS feed that I was really interested in. I will have to try again tomorrow because it is getting too late. There is some neat stuff out there to put on your blog and very informational too.
OK, I figured it out and added two RSS feeds of podcasts that I listen to. I love listening to the Dave Ramsey Show when I have the time. I will listen to it on my computer when I am availableto do so.

Love the name mash ups! Very cool! These would be neat for displays. I liked the idea of making sports cards out of authors. I think that would be a great “March is Reading Month” activity for the kids to do and share information about different authors. I could see myself spending a lot of time with this because it was so much fun!

I love Flickr. The photo I downloaded was one of a craft room that I thought was very organized. I chose this photo because I have a new craft room and am still in the process of organizing it and getting good organizational ideas.
This picture is from Anna Day Mona.

I have also used Flickr when looking at a photograpers photos when deciding which photographer to use. Very awesome website.

I loved Picnik!! I have heard of it but have never used it. I have seen some pictures a friend had editing awhile ago and asked where she did that at and she told me Picnik so I was so excited to see that it was one of the 23 things! I found it pretty easy to use, but there is so much more if you pay for the subscription. I am thinking of purchasing the premium, but would like to first look through other blogs and see if others are and if they are pleased with their decision. I could see this used more on a personal basism but could also use it at school. It reminded me of a really neat project a teacher does at school with the kids pictures. She takes a picture of them and has a poem written write on the pic…so cool.

I used google reader because I already had a google accout. I found all kinds of interesting blogs and things to subscribe too. It is nice that I can check them without going to so many different websites and wasting time like the video said. When finding blogs I found it easier to find the blog, ones I already followed, and cut and paste the URL into the subscribing box. While finding others I would type in a keyword of something that Iwas interested in and found them that way. My family members have google accounts and I am excited to share this feature with them. One of my sister’s told me when I tell her something new I am going she will tell her coworkers in the Chicago area and they want to learn the different things I am learning. I am so lucky!!

I used the google reader instead of bloglines because I already have a google account and it was much easier to have everything in one place. I LOVED this concept!!!! I never knew this existed and I did exactly what the person did in the video…check a few websites daily and it did waste a lot of my time. This is also neat because I have a couple of friends blogs that I like to keep up to date on and this makes it much easier and accessable when I am in different locations.
The address for my google reader is http://www.google.com/reader/view/?tab=my#overview-page
