“An expert, was once a beginner.”

High School Art I classes are working on drawing units, concentrating on, drawing puzzles. These puzzles, assist the artist in seeing the world with the right brain. The right brain helps to see things in lines, shapes, values, and other simple forms. After our drawing puzzles, artists will begin a creative bottle drawing.

High School Art 2 is currently working on landscape paintings. The focus of these paintings are contour lines, overlapping, size difference, and creative color blending. They are looking great! Artists in this class are also working on pixel drawings. The below painting is an example of Monet’s landscape work:

Grades 7 & 8 are currently working with paper mache. 7th graders are creating masks, while, 8th graders are creating paper mache vases in the Art Deco style.
