English Classes:

Now that both English classes have begun new units, please be sure to look down on the “pages” section.  There you will find the titles of each unit.  I will be updating these frequently so you may always have access to handouts from home as well as if you lose a handout.

Interested in Running?

If anyone is interested in distance-running, please let me know.  I started to train for the Riverbank 25K on May 8.  I will be running outside from school on Mondays and Thursdays and welcome company.  I run at about an 11-minute mile pace and I run in all weather.  Please make sure you let me know ahead of time so that I may speak to your parents first about appropriate gear and let them know we will be running on the road.  The more, the merrier!  Happy Trails!

End of the Semester is Near!

The end of the semester is just around the corner.  Are you ready?

English I students- Don’t forget to be working on your semester project.  We will be in the lab to work starting January 12.

English II students- We will work on our Of Mice and Men persuasive papers until they are due (Final draft, typed, due January 19).  Your exam will be an in-class essay.

English Resources

Hi everyone! I am trying to figuer out the best way for us to use this blog. If you look down through the “pages” section, you will notice a link for your class’s unit. Within that page, I have attached every handout you may need for the unit and a calendar of what we’re doing on what date. Hopefully this will help keep us on track!

Welcome back to WayPoint

Greetings!  Welcome back to what will prove to be a fantastic year here at WayPoint Academy!  I am really looking forward to getting to know each of you and working with everyone.  Please feel free to make any comments or ask any questions through this blog to get us started.  More information on how it will be used will be addressed as we gather together and settle into a new school year.

Peace!

Mrs. Cantu
