What projects, designs, or area of interest in Art & Design you would like to explore? I try to structure each year to the students’ interest in the career pathways of Art & Communications, so every year is different.
Here is a review of some of the projects we will produce this school year. What projects would you like to challenge yourself & learn?
First Marking Period…Tangrams, Portfolio Artwork, Rough Resume/Application, Word Design, Adobe Demos & Employability Skills.
2nd Marking Period…Self Portrait Study, Contests, Final Resume, Group Projects, Computer Typography & Visual Design Fundamentals… Learn the basics of the Graphic Design.
3RD Marking Period…Posters , Magazine Collage, Community Service & Competitions, Digital Photography, Storyboarding & the history of Art & Design and Regional Competitions.
4th Marking Period…Gallery or Artist Review, Artist Inspired Painting, Cartoon Letter, Photo Word, Photo Restoration, Pop Bottle, State Competition Preparation, Photography Quiz & Personal Designer Logo
5th Marking Period…Portfolio CD cover w/Updated Final Resume, Personal Logo, Perspective Series, Group Project (Gallery, Stop-Animation or Commercial), ABC Book, Independent Project & Self-Portrait Filter Effect
6th Marking Period…ABC Letter, Electronic CD & DVD Presentation, Perspective Drawing Observation, Digital Montage/Collage, Creativity workbook, Nature Print & Independent Study. Students must present & schedule an Exit Interview before full credit will be earned.
Due dates will be discussed & deadlines must be met for full credit. Deadlines are extremely important to success in the Arts & Communication Industry. The instructor reserves the right to change marking period assignment as each the year the curriculum is adapted to the needs of the students.
