The Spoon That Thinks It’s a Bell

7th grade science did the spoon and string experiment today. I hope everyone could hear the string conducting the sound waves from the spoon to their ears. Think about why the different spoons made different sounds. More to come on sound waves!

The first two days have been awesome! I almost have your names memorized! Thankfully, I already knew half of them. 7th grade science class – please remember to save those veggie cans for our experiment. We need a total of 25. Plus, veggies are good for you Also, don’t forget about our quiz Friday, September 11, over the rules and expectations in the class.

We have been learning how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide integers. The addition and subtraction test is Friday, December 12. The multiplication and division test is Thursday, December 18.

The beginning of the school year is once again upon us. Although we hate to see summer come to an end, with it comes the time to renew our focus in the classroom. I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our new students and I look forward to seeing those of you that I already know. I am excited to meet everyone and get started on another great year!
