Elmo TT-02s in prototype rooms

The Elmo rep had some good tips for me

I think I can use the Elmo TT-02s with a microscope. I know the sweet spot now.
With the SD card slot and the camera functions, you can take pictures of your old transparencies. Then you can pull them up off the SD card when you need them. [...]

Passed the dis too soon

I shouldn’t have commented on the distance of Mindy’s room from the main floor. My room is at least that far out and it is right next to the “working” area of Cobo. I’ll be careful stepping out the door because I might get run over by a golf cart or hit by one of [...]

HOMERUN!

Holy cow did Mindy knock it out of the park! Tech4Learning got their money’s worth from her booth presentation. Mindy spoke for about 30 minutes and showed off the student work. People kept stopping and hanging around the whole time.
Her full presentation should be well attended.

Tech Club

Mindy picked up some information about a tech club funded from a MACUL grant. It could be an interesting opportunity for staff and students. Mindy has all the contact information.

Spoke with Randy Lindquist

I asked Randy about our Accelerated Reader, Star Reading and Star Math assessments. He told me that Oakridge uploaded their data to IGOR last year. I need M. Toporski and A. Sitzer to help keep that on my mind. I think it would be beneficial to get that data up 2-4 times a year.
Also, I [...]

MI Champions

I went with the Beechnau Champions, Dobbs, Mezeske, Olrich and VerMeer, to their intro session. They have got an exciting year ahead of them. The program has been tweaked based on the feedback of the first group, so that’s good.
Judy Myrmel is their coach. Judy is a third grade teacher at Hudsonville. It’s going to [...]

MACUL speaker center

Sweet. Mindy and I found the speaker center. Hurray for breakfast. There’s one problem with the room I booked, free complimentary morning coffee. Oops, no continental breakfast. I’m having coffee flavored coffee and a rye bagel. I don’t like rye, but oh well.
Onward to find my room. Mindy’s is the farthest away possible from the [...]

MACUL as PD days?

What if in 2010 RPS used MACUL for our two days of professional development for the entire district? It might be beneficial with our new technology upgrades. We could get someone from MACUL to run the “How to get the most from MACUL” session during building staff meetings on Monday, Tues, Weds of MACUL week. [...]

MACUL or bust

Updated: 1:07 pm
There are 4,000 people attending today.
Mindy Lynch and I arrived safely in Detroit tonight. Mindy is going to knock ‘em dead. Her first scheduled event at MACUL is at the tech4learning booth tomorrow at noon. On Friday she’s presenting her Pixie 2 presentation during the prime 10-11 spot. Ken Reed, T4L salesman, filled [...]
