I wish I knew what we were covering. No agenda or outline is frustrating.

LOGIN:

It is accessible only from inside the MAISD. The external URL will be available later today

This login is the Pinnacle SIS (current year)

If you change to “next” year, then you automatically enter the Pinnacle Scheduler.

Password

Must be at least 7 character long.

Be sure to change your temp password right away.

User names: ralastfirstinitialMiddleinitial (ra is the Ravenna abbreviation in Pinnacle)

Scheduler

Click on Pinnacle or Home tab to return to main screen.

Must pick school to be able to change school year and enter scheduler.

View|Students|Binoculars: Generates list of all students.

WARNING: Do not use your browser’s back button in Pinnacle. Use the provided icons or the browser locks up.

SOR stands for School of Record

Filter: icon looks like a sieve

Filter icon turns green if filter is on.

Add terms to filter to select groups of students.

Then the binoculars will show only the filtered results.

The filter holds. Be sure to check your filter if you’re not seeing all students.

Home|Current Year|Admin|Edit Lookup Tables: Shows what the filter categories are if you forget.

The Find/Filter icons seem to be consistent between views.

Firefox just choked on the SilverLight plugin. It doesn’t display the terms. Safari shows the Terms so I am updating the RMS Terms in Safari at the direction of Kim Kowalski.

Setting up (Middle School) Scheduler

Middle School scheduler is set for a maximum 30 students and an optimum of 28. The Pinnacle scheduler builds a schedule based on the Optimum number

Three different priorities

1 – Core classes

2 – no used

3 – Electives (alternatives only for Priority 3 classes only. Can be overridden by student)

She is so over the top that I think getting sylvestered will become educational jargon. Make sure you check out Jane Lynch’s interview on NPR’s Fresh Air. There are links to some funny Sue clips.

I can’t get enough of Glee in general. I’m totally into the storyline, except the one pregnancy storyline. My favorite song so far has been the mash up of Confession and it’s my life. The video in Season 1, ep. 6 right around the 15:39 minute mark.

To my shame, I’ve had this CD case since August. It’s been in my To Do pile for too long. I’ve been busy, yadda, yadda, yadda. Finally this morning I open it up to install it as requested by the teacher. I believe a picture shows that more training from the book rep was needed.
