Mr. Holt for the review question that states: If the water temperature was 50ÂșC, how much NaHCO3 could be dissolved in 1.00 ton of water?
(There are 2000lb in 1 ton and 454g in 1lb)
would you set up a stoich problem from ton to grams of water then set a proportion and then when you do that does the propotion look like
X g NaHCO3/908,000 g water = 12gNaHCO3/100g H20
?
and then if I did that right, I got 108,000 g NaHCO3 for an answer, is that correct?
Mr. Holt tomorrow will you be giving us the solvay process summary, the same piece of paper that we have with all the equations on it, or can we just use the one we have on the quest tomorrow and will you also give us the solubility curve for NaHCO3 and Nh4Cl?
Can we use the Solvay Summary sheet w/ equations on the test?
Taylor and Kayleigh,
I will give you a copy of the Solvay review sheet, rules 3-5 for solubility and the solubility curve.
Kayleigh,
Your work on that review problem looks very good–keep it up!
