This week in AP Chem will be a continuation of last week’s learning about the nucleus of the atom and why it splits.
The problem set will be due on Wednesday and Review Day will be on Thursday. This will set us up for our 2nd Quest on Friday.

In Physics this week, we will begin moving from linear motion to non-linear or projectile motion. This is found in CH 3. A variety of problems will be done throughout the week in class and we will be performing a few activities outside “throwing” projectiles. By the end of the week we will be in the lab working on our projectile tossing apparatus. Our second Quest will be done sometime next week.

In Honors Chem we will build upon our knowledge of chemistry by understanding matter and the way it can be changed. The periodic table will be a focus for us as well.

General Chemistry will focus on Matter and we will be completing Reviews 1-4 throughout the week. A lab is scheduled for mid to end of the week and our next quest will be early next week or the end of this week.

AP Chemistry…we will be discussing the nucleus and the changes that exist due to radioactive isotopes. This is Chapter 23 and you should be reading from the text each night. The problems that we will be working on will be 3-10, and 13-53 odd. The problems should be completed by Friday at the latest, but you should be working on them as you are able each night.

Physics…we will be finishing up our unit on Linear motion. We will do a couple of activities to try to understand the ideas of hang time and free falling objects. You will be given problems in class to work on, as well as, questions to take home as needed. Quest 1 will be on Thursday.

Honors Chem…we will be finishing up Unit 1. In class Monday will be a Review Day and Tuesday will be the Quest. Wednesday – Friday we will be starting Unit 2 over Matter. You will have to know about 50 element names and symbols for a Big Quiz on Monday–I will give you the elements a little every day. Check with me for HW as the week progresses.

General Chem…Our first Quest is on Wednesday so we will finish section 6 of unit 1 on Monday (HW-Rev 6), then Tuesday we will review and Wednesday will be the Big Day. Thursday and Friday will be the 2nd Unit on Matter. I will give you a variety of elements that you will need to know the name and symbol for during class on Thursday and Friday.
