Sounds dazzling…and perhaps a bit overwhelming. Nonetheless, I’m looking forward to hearing about all the cool ways of integrating with Discovery that you can share with us.
Hi Diane! Good to see you doing the 30dbbb challenge. I am giving it a go as well, and am really enjoying it. I didn’t know you had a blog and will check it out!
You are absolutely right. This series about 30 days of blogging has been the best series I have seen on the topic. I’m hoping to be at the ISD tonight for the session on blogging and would recommend anyone else who can attend to come. I don’t think it is too late to sign up.
What beautiful photos! Maybe they should be on Pics4Learning…
I received a great story about this event from the students at Carkenord Elementary in L’Anse Creuse. I was so excited to see you in one of the pictures sitting at their station listening to their work.
What a great idea and event. The students should be so proud. I wish more states did events like this to celebrate some of the great things that are happening in our classrooms today – especially student-driven projects.
Also, teachers will enjoy using the lesson plans, video case studies and “schoolhouse rock” style videos we created to support the teaching of copyright and fair use, based on the Code of Best Practices in Fair Use for Media Literacy Education.
I was told by the creator of Boolify that some new tools are on the way, and they should be very exciting, but they haven’t yet surfaced, so we’ll have to wait and see. I’ll make sure to write more about it when there’s news.
There is a website which has 1000’s of eLearning courses from many different training providers on a variety of career and job related subjects. Many are free, the rest seem to be modestly priced. Membership is free…worth checking out.
Diane, Thanks for the kind words about our site. We’ve worked really hard on it. We now have ten spelling and vocabulary games which can be played online or printed out. We are also now building some useful lists such as Dolch Words, Compound Words, and Homophones.
Hi Diane, I follow all the Google Alerts about SpellingCity.com and so I found your blog. This is meant more as an email to you than a comment but I didn’t see a “contact me” on your blog. We’re trying to figure out what direction to go for the next stage of development for SpellingCity.com and I’m looking for some input from the field.
Do your schools have much experience with SpellingCity? If so, any input on what direction they would like us to go? john
