About Wojtas

Mrs. Wojtas is a 7th grade Social Studies teacher at Reeths-Puffer Middle School. Her curriculum focuses on the Eastern Hemisphere. As a social studies educator, she will help students master the fundamentals of history, geography, civics, and economics. This knowledge can inform and encourage young people’s participation in the democratic process and help create tomorrow’s leaders.

Wojtas (Kunnen) is originally from Jenison, Michigan. She graduated from Jenison High School in 1989 where she was actively involved in athletics. Wojtas received an athletic scholarship to the University of Michigan for softball. Ann Arbor, Michigan was her next home for a degree in education. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 1992 with a degree in Kinesiology and Social Science. Wojtas also graduated from Western Michigan University in 2000 with a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership.

Wojtas currently resides in Fruitport, Michigan with her husband Dan, an electrician for Feyen-Zylstra of Grand Rapids, and her daughter Joelle (7), who attends Fruitport Schools.
