<description>I just got done watching the movie “The Boy in Striped Pajamas”. It is about a young German boy, Bruno that finds friendship with a Jewish boy named Schmuel. They usually meet at the corner of the electric barbed wire fence everyday. Here are my thoughts on the movie.

The movie itself was disheartening and extremely sad. Because of the fact that Jews and Germans were enemies at this tragic time, Bruno had to sneak around to see Schmuel, which made things complicated for being friends. In one part of the story Schmuel was commanded to go to the house which Bruno and his family lived and had to dry dishes, Bruno gave him food, as he was eating a German officer walked in, Bruno lied about giving him the food and Schmuel was severely punished. This is where the story gets sad. Bruno tries making up for the mistake that he had made and tried to help Schmuel find his father who was missing inside the Concentration Camp. As they were looking they were all sent to the gas chamber and were suffocated to death by the gas, Schmuel and Bruno were holding hands until death and that was extremely sad. Overall the movie was heartbreaking and made me depressed. That is what I thought about the movie “The Boy in Striped Pajamas”.
